When a couple marries, the woman “divorces” her family and lives with her husbands’ family. Once the husband dies, his relatives take away all of the property, sell it and divide the profits. They often leave the wife and the children with nothing. They are left on their own, living sad lives of destitution and poverty. Many widows turn to street begging or prostitution to support their families.
We need volunteers who are concerned about these neglected people living in our society whose deep yearning and aspiration is to become self-reliant.
You can either make a monetary contribution or sponsor a program (Donation of food, Stationary, Clothes, and Gifts etc.)
Donations can be general to the area of your choice (In Nigeria). Contributions would be sent to the area with most need. Donors may directly contact our foundation on 09033853133, 09032413945, or send us an email to email@example.com for further information & support.
One of our main core areas is widow’s welfare:-
More than half of the population of our country is women. Local and State governments give facilities to them, but these government projects are not very successful due to multiple reasons like negligence, corruption and lack of accountability etc.
There are different types of widows in Nigeria, rich & poor, young & old. Some of them get support from other family members, but those who belong to very poor families have no support & facility to live in and care for their children properly. Such widows are very pathetic; and they need support, love and compassion.
There also exists a group of widows in our country, whose main dilemma is to manage their wealth, as their guardian (even their son & daughter) have no respect and plot to kill them due to their wealth. Such types of widows require security. In this pathetic condition our Organization wants to help every type of widow. Many of them who are young and want to do something to be self- dependent need safe employment. Now we are analyzing such scenarios in the “Current area of choice”& we would like to extend it throughout the country, which will also require all possible support from the society.
